I bought this because I have quite a bit of joinery to do around the house we are renovating. My first reaction when the postie staggered in with it was wow what a big box. But then this is quite a big bit of kit and really solid.<br /> <br><br /> <br>I opted for the sliding saw and I&#39;m glad I did. I find it handles a much bigger range of sizes and formats that way. The mitre has already been used (to make the table on which this saw is to be mounted) and it works fine.<br /> <br><br /> <br>So far I have not found the laser which tells you where the cut will be made very accurate. I expected to have to fiddle but it seems to be a bit more than that - the line seems to vary depending on the height of the wood I&#39;m cutting. Anyway I musn&#39;t prejudge because I haven&#39;t tried to adjust it yet.<br /> <br><br /> <br>My impression is that this is a very nicely made piece of kit solid and precise. I like it.
